Dr. Terry was born and brought up in Windsor, Vermont.  After high school graduation, he attended and graduated from Springfield College with majors in chemistry and physics.  He then attended the New England College of Optometry and received his doctorate degree in 1975.  After practicing for a year in Amherst, MA he began his practice in White River Junction in 1976.

He has served the Vermont Optometric Association as its President for 6 years and has been on the Board of Optometry in Vermont for 17 years.  For 27 years, he served on various American Optometric Association committees. Dr Terry also spent 8 years as the acting Eye Clinic Chief  at the VA Hospital in White River Junction.  He continues to serve as a low vision specialist for the Vermont Association of the Visually Impaired as well as seeing uninsured patients for the Good Neighbor Health Clinic. 

Dr. Terry has a special interest primary and medical eye care which includes macular degeneration and glaucoma treatment.

Dr. Terry has two grown sons and when not in the office, enjoys golf and travelling.
